Finance

Fundraising can be challenging but Companio can help track requests and donations so that your committees can make effective use of their time and your organization can maximize fundraising dollars.

  1. Corporate Funding Cycles
Companio allows you to keep track of funding cycles so that you know when to submit requests for donations rather than being told that you’re too late.
  2. Employer Matches and Special Programs
Many companies match charitable contributions. Some even double the match if their employees volunteers for the organization. One large Saint Paul based insurer allows employers to request one $500 grant each year to an organization. Companio can help you take advantage of these funding opportunities.
  3. Previous Donors
It’s always easier to go to someone who has given in the past and knows your organization than to contact a new donor. Companio helps you track donations so that you don’t lose valuable information and makes it easier for you to maintain those relationships.
  4. Double Asks
One difficulty in making requests is to coordinate with other committees who are also requesting donations. Corporations don’t want to get multiple requests from the same organization. You also want to prevent the situation where a committee requests a small donation from a corporation just before another committee plans to ask them to sponsor a major event.

Placement

Whether you are slotting the Board of Directors, the Leadership team or committees, there is a good deal of information that you need to access. It is possible to track all of it through spreadsheets but very difficulty to sort through all of that information as you’re making decisions. With Companio you can easily store this information each year and use the Placement Reports to see the information from different view to help you make your decisions.

  1. Placement History
With Companio’s Placement Reports, you can easily see who has served on a particular committee or in a leadership role. You can see who qualifies to serve on the Board of Directors. Also, you can view a member's records to see what placements she has had in the past.
  2. Training
In addition to a member’s placement history, you can view her training history. Also, when selecting members to attend ODI training, you can easily see who has attended in the past.
  3. Membership Requirements
Companio makes it easy to track membership requirements in one location rather than having to pull the information together and manually calculate it.
  4. Placement Preferences
Under MyCompanio, members can view available placement slots and enter their preferences for next year.

Membership

It is important to keep your member records up-to-date but it can be a daunting task. In the member update pages, it is fast and easy to enter changes. In addition to that, members can enter their own changes through MyCompanio. They can enter a request to change such information as name, address, phone and email. They can even request a status change. The changes go to a queue and are reviewed before being applied. The changes can be easily sent to your parent organization and there is a report showing the details of every change.

Events

Companio's event function offers a robust solution for maintaining an up-to-date events calendar. The events function allows administrators to maintain events, maintain reservations and attendance. In addition, a new work shift management function allows complex definition of work shifts. Members can register for different works shifts which all ties into the membership requirements. Email notifications can be sent for attendance and work reminders. Also, an SOS message can be sent to request help on filling open work shifts. Everything is incorporated into a dynamic calendar display.
