As a member of the Junior League of Saint Paul, there were many times that I wished better software tools were available.

As Director of Membership, I spent a significant amount of time coordinating changes to member information, which left me with less time to focus on areas such as membership retention.

As Co-Chair of a fundraiser, I found coordinating requests for donations and sponsorships between our committee and other committees was a challenge to say the least. The twenty page spreadsheets with donors and requests was hard to keep up-to-date and it was nearly impossible to avoid double asks to some of our corporate sponsors.

As Chair of Arrangements, I remember sifting through a box filled with folders and scraps of papers trying to find location and contact information, pricing figures and attendance estimates. It would have been wonderful to be able to easily send emails to remind members of their meeting reservations.

As a member of the Placement Committee, we pored over spreadsheets and lists trying to figure out who had served on what committees in the past, who was eligible for leadership positions, who had attended ODI and other training sessions and who was interested in which positions.

When I became a Sustainer, I had the time to get involved in developing an application designed to meet the needs of Junior League and other similar volunteer organizations.

Our company has created a web-based membership management application. We have priced it on a sliding scale based on the size of your organization because we wanted it to be available to all groups no matter how large or small.
